Expand in Excel report

To view details without creating a new report, expand functionality can be used.

Select a row or column, right-click and select the AARO Expand menu option a choice of parameter is made from.


Expanding a row by parameter Company

New rows/columns appear under the expanded row/column.

To collapse the expanded row or column, select an expanded cell, right-click and select Collapse.

To collapse expanded row/column temporary, right-click the expanded row/column header with the temporary collapse icon (minus sign) on the right side and select the Collapse parameter menu option (Collapse Account in the sample below).

Temporary collapsed row/column can be expanded by right-clicking the temporary collapsed row/column header with the temporary expand icon (plus sign) on the right side and selecting the Saved expand menu option.

Expand can be done several times on already expanded rows/columns.

It is possible to expand an account to its lowest level with only one click.

To expand an account to its lowest level, select AARO Expand > Basic > Account Tree from the pop-up menu.

The example given here shows account 1199 expanded by Account Tree:

The expand functionality cannot be applied to 'Report Total', 'Grand Total' and 'Other' rows and columns.

Expand by Account and Account Tree is not available for the report with a compact layout set on the row panel.
