Report with parameter selection
If a report has been saved with 'Used as parameter' criteria, then the parameter selection window will be displayed upon opening the report in Excel. The user preferred selection will be applied to those parameters.
Parameter selection window
For "Use as Parameter" criteria, the user preferred selection is applied, as follows:
the loaded parameter's value (or multiple values) is the last used value (or values) selected in the previously executed report. An exception to this is when 'All' parameter values were previously selected.
If no user preferred selection has been saved, the current period defined in the system is applied.
For a report with relative periods:
The previously used base period is loaded. The base period's value is not affected by the selected period if a report does not contain relative periods.
If no user preferred selection has been saved for the base period, the current period defined in the system is applied.
User preferred selection for the base period can only be applied to one Period Type. For example, if user preferred selection is saved for the base period of Period Type=Actual, when loading a report using a period with Period Type=Budget and selecting a new value, the user preferred selection will be resaved. Loading a report with the period of Period Type=Actual afterwards brings up the current period set up in the system.
User preferred selection is saved for later sessions.
It is possible to select multiple values by [Ctrl] and [Shift] in the parameter selection window.
