When a report is executed from the Reports tree, a new tab is opened. However, if a report tab with the same report's definition aready exists, then this tab will be reloaded. The new tab is added on the top panel, with the most recently loaded report displayed as the first tab to the left.

Tabs are sorted from left to right in the order the reports were loaded. Clicking a tab will open the report with the values according to it's previously saved state. If values are changed/updated in AARO, the report will need to be executed again to show the latest values.

Values are updated in the report tabs if the browser page is reloaded or the user logs off and logs back in again.


Report tabs

When a report definition is changed and the report is executed, a new report version is created. Each report version is presented on a sub tab. Each sub tab (time tab) shows the time when the report version was created. Time tabs related to one report are grouped under the tab with the report name.

Time tabs are expanded when a report tab is selected. Other report tabs are collapsed.

The maximum number of time tabs for one report is 7. Older time tabs are removed.

The maximum number of report tabs (which may contain further date-stamped time tabs) is 20. The maximum number of visible tabs is 8. The hidden report tabs can be made available by clicking on the arrows to the right.

Select the report tab from the list to load the report.

This makes web reports a very powerful work tool, allowing up to 160 simultaneous reports available from one single screen.

A tab can easily be closed by clicking the close button.


Closing the tab

To close multiple tabs:

  1. Click the arrow sign on the current report tab to expand the tab menu.

  2. Select one of the menu options:

  • Hide Time Tabs – option is shown for reports with time tabs. Hides Time tabs for current report.

  • Close Time Tabs - option is shown for reports with time tabs. Closes time tabs for current report.

  • Close Tab – closes current tab and it's time tabs.

  • Close Other Tabs – closes all tabs except for current tab and it's time tabs.

  • Close All Tabs – closes all tabs. The Untitled page is loaded automatically.

Report tabs are saved for later sessions and logging in again.
