Import Source

An Import Source is the combination of a Data Source and an Import Specification/s. When a normal AARO user uses the AARO Integrator for working against an external data source it is only the concept of import sources that will be encountered. For example: You can name the import source with the same name as the source system, to indicate from where external data is collected.

In many cases it is possible to re-use import specifications for many data sources. This is done by creating a new import source and selecting which data source and import specification should be used for it. Defined import specifications and data sources can be used in any number of import sources. However, please note that a change in one data source or import specification affects all import sources in which it is used.
